1 volume (iii, 8, iii leaves) : parchment, illustrations ; 15 cm
A brown leather-bound book features a circular embossed gold emblem on its cover. The emblem depicts two barrels floating on wavy lines, with decorative scrollwork surrounding it. The manuscript is a troped or farced Kyrie, a form developed since the 10th and 11th centuries in which additional texts based on attributes (e.g., “Kyrie lux et origo”) provided sufficient syllables to set the plainchant melodies.
