Vincennes Porcelain Manufactory
1745–1755
Soft-paste porcelain with glaze, Soft-paste porcelain
A white porcelain anemone flower sculpture is displayed against a plain gray background. The sculpture features detailed petals and a textured center. This hand-modeled anemone would have been attached to silk-wrapped wire or painted metal stems and mounted in vases or onto clocks, wall lights, chandeliers or other interior elements to decorate expensive homes.
