It is typical of a certain style of Quebec architecture: high, steep roof on a rather low base, a central dormer, the chimney at one end of the house, and a porch held up by strong columns that goes along the front and one side of the house. Originally built as a bird house, this construction was converted into a simple lawn ornament by its owner, who installed an electric lamp inside.
