A rectangular rug with a repeating floral pattern and a decorative border. The rug is primarily in shades of red, pink, and beige. Malayer is located near the Hamadan and Sarouk rug weaving centers in Northern Iran. Weaving there was done by hand and often governed by families, of which many had Turkish ancestry.
