A rectangular earthenware brick with carved floral and lotus designs on its side. It has two rectangular openings on its top surface. One of the relics discovered at an old temple site in Oe-ri of Gyuam-myeon, Buyeo-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, this brick is decorated with a circular beaded band containing two lotus flowers, one atop the other. Each lotus flower consists of ten petals, each of which contains a vine design, and has a large ovary with some seeds. There are lotus designs on all four corners of the brick as well. Though it is not very exquisite, it displays an elegant beauty. Provenance: Buyeo-gun Accession number: Bongwan13968
