Two gold earrings hang against a plain background. Each earring has a large, circular or cylindrical top piece from which a decorative element with dangling leaf-shaped pieces hangs. These gold earrings with thick center loops were excavated from Geumgwancheong Tomb. They were made when Silla’s metal handicraft skills had reached an advanced stage. They consist of center loops, loose loops, middle ornaments and drops, the loose loops and drops being particularly exquisite. A total of 14 small spangles are hung to each heart-shaped drop.
