An inkstone with mother-of-pearl inlay is displayed next to its fitted wooden box. The inkstone is carved with decorative scrollwork around its edge and features a smooth, green surface. 長橢圓形綠色石硯，周緣不規整。弧形池，池內嵌二層貝殼，池周浮雕流雲紋。石質潤澤，硯面留一較粗的方圓形作墨堂，且尚留墨痕，餘皆打磨光滑。通體有深淺不同天然橫紋。硯背周緣起寬棱，中央凹下處陰刻行書銘：「以靜為用，是以永年。」並陰刻二行四字篆體方印：「康熙宸翰」。黃褐色長橢圓形硯盒，周緣不規整，盒蓋與盒身藉硯身扣合。蓋面有天然深淺不同黃色弧形紋，有黃褐、淺黃諸色，似天然水波紋，又似一幅山水畫。盒背有一層褐黃色塗料。 Object number: 故文000259N000000000 Rights: Inkstone with mother-of-pearl and fitted box featuring natural landscape, The National Palace Museum, Taipei, CC BY 4.0 @ www.npm.gov.tw IIIF manifest: https://digitalarchive.npm.gov.tw/Integrate/GetJson?cid=16311&dept=U
