A mosaic depicts a stylized animal, possibly a ram, with curved horns and legs. The mosaic is fragmented and set against a light-colored background. Bird stands facing to left, one leg straight, the other forward, bent, head part way down pecking; within frame, preserved except at upper right and lower left corners, of single line of black tesserae. Wing and outline of bird black; legs, beak and eye red. Some yellow tesserae along inside of outline, white elsewhere. Background in white tesserae. Tesserae irregularly cut. Fragments set in plaster in black metal frame. 68-39-1 Gift of George J. Oakey, 1968
