A mosaic fragment features a repeating pattern of semicircles with small floral or star-like motifs within. A horizontal band of darker tesserae forms a border at the bottom. Fragment of stone mosaic pavement. The tesserae are white, black, brown and red in a semi-circular group with an imbricated pattern. These is a plain border on two sides. Fitzgerald: "Just south of the west door a semicircular fragment of mosaic with an imbricated pattern ran back beyond the line of the outer circle, showing that at this point there had been a niche in the wall, and there can be no doubt of the existence of a corresponding niche to the north. It will be observed that the wall behind these niches was very thin; they were presumbably built up inside concealed arches in the main wall." 29-107-934 Expedition to Beth She
