A stuffed toy koala made of fuzzy beige wool and black leather accents sits upright against a white background. The koala has a black nose and black claws on its paws and feet. Koala, toy, wool/ leather/ Bakelite, maker unknown, [Australia], 1920-1940. Koala made from sheepskin stuffed with wood shavings. It has an oval leather nose stitched in place with small brown Bakelite eyes and small ears on both sides of the top of the head. It sits upright with fixed arms and legs pointing outwards. The paws are formed by leather sectioned to resemble claws. Place of manufacture. Date of manufacture. Donated by the National Trust's Museum of Australian Childhood by the Thyne Reid Foundation.
