A dark, rectangular mechanical analogue computer with multiple dials, scales, and indicators. It features a central circular grate and various knobs and levers. Naval range computer housed in flat metal case with mountings on each corner for attaching to a stable surface. The computer has a number of dials and knobs, handles and scale and includes number registers, set range and read range. At the top of the computer are two windows covered by clear plastic through which to view calculations - one large round window and one small rectangle with a three-numeral readout. On the left side are two dials that feature the outline shape of a ship; these can be dialed to calculate relative direction and range of two naval vessels.
