A Chinese New Year poster depicts a deity of wealth and a child pulling a cart filled with gold coins. The figures are richly dressed against a vibrant red background with decorative borders. Poster in portrait orientation and printed in colour. The picture shows the god of money (Cai Shen). He is dressed in a red robe with a dragon decoration and he holds a jade staff. On his head is a hat with jade extensions and a flower decoration. He is smiling and strides from the left side of the poster towards the centre. A smaller figure is depicted behind the god. This figure pushes a wheel barrow loaded with coral branches, large pearls and a gold lotus flower. The two figures are set against a red background.
