Sculpture, 'Hog/Human', earthenware / LED / MDF / acrylic paint / automotive paint, Ramesh Mario Nithiyendran, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, 2019
A sculpture features a split face with one side appearing more organic and textured, while the other is adorned with eyes and metallic elements. It is supported by a brightly colored, abstract base with graffiti-like imagery. 'Hog/Human' is modelled in the form of an elongated bust, almost cylindrical in form, made in three sections positioned on top of each other. It is made in brightly painted and glazed earthenware and stands on a large cubical plinth, with each of its four sides decorated with a large laughing face - sketched on the rendered surface then spray painted, mostly in red. The central section is composed of two vertically conjoined half-heads comprising a brown-yellow half-head of a hog with prominent white snout on the left, and a half-head of a widely-grinning male on the right - with red teeth, large golden lips, nostrils and a nose rin
