The miraculous cure of a man with the diseased leg may be that which is described in the Acta Sanctorum, op. cit., pp. 125-126, though here the man is younger On the left stands Saint Francis de Paul, his left hand outspread in benediction. Before him on the right is seated a young man whose left leg is exposed to show a small ulcer. The saint is shown as in the painting by Giandomenico Tiepolo of him exorcising the devil from a young man (Venice, church of San Francesco da Paola, 1748), but in reverse (Mariuz pls. 25-26) However, the young man in the present etching does not appear in that painting: the young man in the etching is
